Following on from the very popular Vol 1, Gary again opens up his private collection of classic motor racing images from the early B&W photos of the 1950’s through to the full colour of the 1980’s. Unashamedly nostalgic, we’re taken on a pictorial journey from a local sprint to the 1962 British GP; then it’s on to the California 500 at the Ontario Motor Speedway and the 1971 Race of Champions followed by a superb photo feature on the Lotus 72. The beauty of Gary’s photography is its intimacy, and as well as race images there’s plenty of candid shots taken in race paddocks with drivers and mechanics going about their business seemingly unaware of the photographer. Unique and well worth the money.
